In this chapter Bob kept talking about how to select songs for service. In usual circumstance, team members sometimes would choose songs that fit themselves. As a result, crowds would sometimes feel unsatisfied and teammates could end up in a little disadvantage. Thus, when choosing music, we should always communicate with people around us. Not just team members, but also church members and pastors. The reason we need to communicate with others is because worship is about connecting everyone with God. We should never take it for granted and use it for personal purpose.
I like Bob's arguments about choosing music. It is sometimes unavoidable that temptation could blind us with our own ambitions. Thus, when there's open discussion about making and choosing music, it is very easy to scrutinize each other and make sure the music is for everyone. Moreover, when having a group discussion about picking songs, it help the whole team to understand what does the crowd really enjoy when doing worship. Also, with opinions from the crowd, the team can find its weakness and get better.
